The Lindsay King Foundation
Our Story
The Lindsay King Foundation was founded in 2025 by designer and advocate Lindsay King, following two decades in Indigenous social work and foster parenting. After years of supporting children, families, and communities, Lindsay pursued her lifelong dream of fashion design — merging her artistry with advocacy to create meaningful change. The foundation grew out of this journey, carrying forward a vision where creativity becomes a tool for healing, empowerment, and cultural restoration.
Who We Serve
The Lindsay King Foundation is an Indigenous-led nonprofit dedicated to repairing the cultural and artistic damage caused by the residential school era, while revitalizing the beauty, creativity, and resilience of Indigenous peoples. At the heart of our mission is collective healing — restoring culture and strengthening communities through art, mentorship, advocacy, life coaching, and storytelling through keynote speaking that inspires personal and collective transformation.
What We Offer
Through education, life coaching, keynote speaking, creative workshops, and opportunities for artistic expression, we empower Indigenous communities to reclaim both their creative voices and their personal narratives. By fostering pride in cultural identity, supporting emotional and generational healing, and nurturing the next generation of creative leaders, we aim to heal the wounds of the past and inspire a future where Indigenous artistry, storytelling, and lived brilliance are honored, celebrated, and sustained.
The Red Collective: Empowerment Through Fashion & Storytelling
The Red Collective: Empowerment Through Fashion & Storytelling
The Red Collective is an immersive, full-day creative masterclass designed to uplift, inspire, and build confidence through fashion, beauty, photography, and storytelling.
Led by women with years of experience across the creative industries, the experience offers a supportive, hands-on editorial environment where participants are invited to create, connect, and see themselves in a new light.
More Than a Photoshoot
While participants take part in a professional editorial photoshoot, The Red Collective is about much more than the image.
The day is creative, collaborative, and supportive — centred on presence, participation, and being seen. This is not about performance or perfection, but about confidence, expression, and possibility.
What to Expect
Participants take part in a full-day experience that includes:
- Professional hair and makeup
- Styling guided by Lindsay King
- An editorial-style photoshoot
- Creative exercises that support reflection and self-expression
- Time to connect in a women-led, supportive environment
Each participant walks away with a professional editorial image — and a deeper sense of confidence and visibility.
