The Lindsay King Foundation
Our Story
The Lindsay King Foundation was founded in 2025 by designer and advocate Lindsay King, following two decades in Indigenous social work and foster parenting. After years of supporting children, families, and communities, Lindsay pursued her lifelong dream of fashion design — merging her artistry with advocacy to create meaningful change. The foundation grew out of this journey, carrying forward a vision where creativity becomes a tool for healing, empowerment, and cultural restoration.

Who We Serve
We serve Indigenous youth, women, Two-Spirit peoples, and communities both on reserve and in urban settings across North America. Our work is rooted in creating spaces for mentorship, advocacy, cultural restoration, and creative expression that respond to the diverse realities of Indigenous peoples today.
What We Offer
Our programs — including The Red Collective: Empowerment Through Fashion & Storytelling, bag-making workshops, keynote presentations, and entrepreneurship training — are designed to spark healing, rebuild communities, and ensure the richness of Indigenous culture is carried forward for generations to come.
Bag Making

Bag Making
Hands-on sessions where participants learn to design and sew their own Pendleton® wool bag. More than a technical workshop, these sessions are rooted in storytelling —
Lindsay shares her journey as a designer and the cultural significance of working with fabric, pattern, and craft. Each workshop is an invitation to slow down, connect with heritage, and create something lasting.
By blending practical skills with cultural storytelling, participants leave empowered and inspired, carrying with them a new creative skill.
The Red Collective: Empowerment Through Fashion & Storytelling

The Red Collective: Empowerment Through Fashion & Storytelling
The Red Collective is a one-day masterclass that unites fashion, advocacy, and healing. Designed to uplift Indigenous peoples and spark creativity, the program invites participants to step into The Red Collection for an editorial photoshoot that restores pride and visibility.
More than a photoshoot, it is a transformative experience. Through storytelling and dialogue, participants are given space to share their voices, connect with community, and reclaim visibility. Reflective journaling, values-based exercises, and goal-setting activities deepen the process — helping participants explore identity, build confidence, and envision their futures.
The program empowers each individual while raising awareness and advancing MMIW prevention — leaving a lasting impact of resilience, hope, and renewed strength.
